To: publishers, editors, columnists, reviewers, interviewers, and others who want to help everyone understand the popularity of dreadlocks or how to grow them.

ARE YOU REALLY PREPARED FOR A LIFE WITH DREADLOCKS?

New Book “Don’t Worry, Be Nappy!” offers tips, ideas, and practical advice on growing and living with dreadlocks.

Dallas, TX - Dreadlocks are "HOT," in style, and are fast becoming the new freedom of expression in America.  Once only seen on tropical islands, such as Jamaica, dreadlocks are now everywhere - in every city and on every continent in the world.  People from all walks of life are adorning their heads with this unique hairstyle.  From blue-collar workers to high profile executives; high school students to Ivy League colleges; you will find someone who has allowed their hair to lock up or “dread. Whether is for spiritual reasons or just making a fashion statement, one thing is for sure – dreadlocks are here to stay.

Fifth Avenue and the rest of the advertising world are quickly embracing this new hair phenomenon. In some ways, may even be encouraging its increased popularity.  From television to print media; musicians, actors, and models with dreadlocks are selling everything from soft drinks to washing detergents

Though the popularity of dreadlocks is on the rise, there are people who do not accept them as a normal hairstyle.  Everyday we hear about problems those with dreadlocks encounter with schools, jobs, and society.  Recently in Dallas Texas, one police officer lost her job and others suspended because of their dreadlocks.  These types of situations leave many confused and unsure about them.  However, scattered among the horror stories are many individuals who are growing dreadlocks and living quite successfully with them.

Since there’s limited information about dreadlocks, those with a strong desire to grow them can have a terrible time with the long process it takes to develop them.  Nonetheless, by following a few simple tips, anyone can grow dreadlocks.  In most cases, there's no need to change jobs, move to another part of the world, or become a recording artist to grow dreadlocks.  A new book “Don’t Worry, Be NAPPY! How to Grow Dreadlocks in America and Still Get Everything You Want” has emerged as a must have for anyone having a desire to learn more about dreadlocks and how to grow them.

Jeffery Bradley, the author of the book, has been growing dreadlocks for more than 11 years and has worked at four major corporations with them.  "My primary objective in writing “Don’t Worry, Be NAPPY!” is to show readers how important it is to restructure their lives to live with possible criticism they might receive.  I offer positive motivation tips, health and fitness advice, and ways to become financial secure during the process of growing dreadlocks.  I also want to dispel the myths surrounding dreadlocks such as they are just for a certain religion, come from dirty hair, or you must be involved in the entertainment industry. My personal and professional experiences are supplemented with insights and examples of many people whom become very successful with dreadlocks.  The book is fun, witty, and sometimes very serious,” says Bradley.

According to a spokesperson for the publisher, Mr. Bradley's book is “a warm and human” portrayal of the joys and expected problems that crop up when someone decides to grow dreadlocks. In 140 pages, Mr. Bradley has done a fine job of telling us what it is like to walk out into the world everyday with dreadlocks.  He shares his good and bad experiences of the entire process of growing dreadlocks.

“Don’t Worry, Be Nappy!” goes far beyond your typical book about hair by addressing many problems one might encounter with dreadlocks and offers solutions to work around them.  “Before you take the leap, understand that dreadlocks are a beautiful way to express yourself but they may come at a price”, says Mr. Bradley, “Prepare yourself.”

Jeffery Bradley is a LAN systems administrator for a major corporation, writer of various articles, and owner of cultural online website.  He is currently working on a series of positive motivational electronic books (eBooks).
